At Keystone, we believe sustainability is everyone’s responsibility. We have a strong focus on protecting our environment by improving all business operations for which we are responsible. We aim to nurture Our Planet, Our Products, and Our People to create a legacy we are proud of.

In the latest report from Carbon Footprint, all brands within the Keystone Group have achieved a reduction in scope 1 & 2 carbon emissions within our operational impact since the first assessment in 2021.

Keystone has committed to the Science Based Target initiative (SBTi) and pledge to become a Net Zero business by 2050.

Carbon Footprint has completed an audit of our total carbon emissions, supporting us to prepare our road maps towards Net Zero

We have an action plan in place to reduce Scope 1 & 2 carbon emissions in our manufacturing facilities by 2030.

Including our transport fleet, our plans will achieve a 60% reduction in all Scope 1 & 2 emissions by 2030 which equates to saving 1033 tonnes of carbon per year.

100% of all energy consumed at our UK production facilities is currently provided by renewable sources.

Six brands within Keystone Group have already achieved Carbon Neutral status: IG Masonry Support, IG Elements, Smartroof, Keyfix, Stockgap and Keylite.

Investment in PV panels at our Swadlincote and Overseal manufacturing facilities will provide 70% of energy requirements saving 194 tonnes of carbon per year in phase 1 and 504 tonnes in phase 2.

Battery pack energy storage solutions are in trial to help manage our energy efficiencies and maximise optimum usage across our main manufacturing facilities

Electric forklifts are now in use across all of our manufacturing facilities.

By switching our Stockgap fleet from diesel to GTL, we have reduced our greenhouse gas emissions by up to 50% with an 88% reduction in nitrogen oxide whilst we seek other green fleet solutions.

Installation of EV charging points at all Keystone Group sites has commenced with heavy investment in infrastructure to allow scalability as our fleet migrates to electric.

90% of our manufacturing waste is recycled and we continue to look at ways of improving this percentage
